Believe it or not, the midsection is one of those areas that many people struggle with. As we age, fat tends to deposit in the midsection resulting in you not having that rock solid ab look that you want. The good news is that you can do workouts that target this area to get that flat, toned stomach that you have always wanted.
When it comes to getting a toned stomach, you need to work out. That is all there is to it. However, to make sure that you are getting this toned stomach as fast as possible, be sure to diet along with exercises that are aimed at toning your stomach.
There are several exercises that are catered towards toning the midsection and getting you those rock hard abs that you have always wanted. The following 4 exercises are great to start with!
Most people hate these, but they do get the job done. In order to do this, get into the push up position, then hold it with your elbows bent for 30 seconds at a time. Try to do this for at least 3 repetitions. As you get stronger, you will be able to hold this longer!
This is a unique exercise that may look funny while you do it, but it will tone your stomach amazingly. Lie on your back with your legs lifted and knees bent at a 90 degree angle. With your arms extended and hands pressed into your thighs, pull your belly button towards your spine, then extend your right arm and left leg until they are almost touching the floor. Pause, and then repeat with the other side.
With this you are going to in a plank position but with a swill ball aka exercise ball that your feet are going to rest on. You will want to roll the ball towards the upper body while still maintaining the plank position.
These are common exercises for a reason! You can start to define your abs with this, while really building up your strength. There are tons of different variations that you can do, so find one that works for your needs.
